Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), formerly known as Madras Refineries Limited (MRL) was formed as a joint venture in 1965 between the Government of India (GOI), AMOCO, and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). The present shareholders are IOCL, NICO, and others holding 51.89%,15.40%,32.71% shares respectively.

CPCL Selection Process 2024:-

• The selection methodology will comprise Online Test and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) followed by verification of certificates of the shortlisted candidates. The SPPT will be of qualifying nature.

CPCL Exam Pattern 2024:-

• The online test shall be for 120 marks of two parts viz., General Aptitude (Verbal Ability, G.K, Reasoning / Logical Deductions & Numerical Ability) comprising of 50 Questions and concerned discipline knowledge with 70 Questions. ¼ mark per wrong answer per question shall be deducted. The questions shall be objective type Multiple Choice Questions with total time duration of 2 hours.

• Short listed candidates, in the ratio of 1:2 (two candidates for one post, with due cognizance to number of reserved posts) subject to securing minimum qualifying marks in the online test, will be required to undergo a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT).

CPCL Salary 2024:-

• Candidates who will be appointed on Non-Executive posts under the Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited will get a monthly salary range from 25,000 to 1,05,000 rupees, to check the details info about the pay scale, refer to an advertisement released officially by the CPCL.
