We are looking for experienced professionals for two distinct positions under the designation of Assistant Manager – ESR Forging. Both positions demand strong technical expertise, process understanding, and quality management skills in steel melting, remelting, and forging operations.
Position 1: Process & Quality Control (ESR & Forging Operations)
Key Responsibilities
- Quality inspection of electro slag remelting (ESR) electrodes and ingots.
- ESR process control in line with technology sheet, trial plan and quality plan.
- Forging process control in line with technology sheet, trial plan and quality plan.
- Heat treatment process control in line with technology sheet, trial plan and quality plan.
- Conduct macro-examination of ESR, forged, and heat-treated materials.
- Perform hardness testing, PMI, dimensional & visual inspection of ESR & forged materials.
- Coordinate metallurgical testing and NDT inspection of ESR & forged materials.
- Plan testing samples as per MSTP / other testing requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech. / Diploma (Metallurgy / Mechanical).
- Min. 4 years (B.Tech.) / Min. 10 years (Diploma) of relevant experience.
- Experience in steel melting (EAF / VIM), remelting (ESR/VAR) & open die forging industry.
- Proven experience in ESR and forging process control of alloy steels, heat-resisting steels, high-speed steels, tool & die steels, stainless steel, iron & nickel-base super alloys.
- Strong knowledge of macro-examination of ESR & forged material.
Position 2: QMS & Certifications (ESR & Forging Quality Management)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all QMS activities and product/customer certifications for ESR and Forging.
- Conduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure timely calibration of all testing and inspection equipment.
- Handle and resolve daily non-conformities (NCs).
- Address customer complaints and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Obtain QAP, MPP & other approvals from customers.
- Coordinate quality testing & inspection for in-process and finished materials.
- Liaise with third-party inspection agencies and customers for inspections, documentation, and dispatch clearance.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports for ESR and forging operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech. / Diploma (Metallurgy / Mechanical).
- Min. 4 years (B.Tech.) / Min. 10 years (Diploma) of relevant experience.
- Experience in Steel Mill / Open Die Forging industry.
- Strong exposure to QMS, customer/product certifications, and internal/external audits.
- Hands-on experience developing & implementing QMS documents like SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, CAPA, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem solving.
- Knowledge of steel melting, remelting, rolling, forging, and heat treatment processes.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgical, mechanical & corrosion testing standards (ASTM, ISO, JIS, DIN, etc.) for Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel & Super Alloys.

Job Title: Junior Engineer – ESR Forging

Job Purpose
The Junior Engineer – ESR Forging will be responsible for conducting metallurgical testing, laboratory trials, and quality analysis to support forging operations. The role ensures accurate testing, documentation, and compliance with metallurgical standards and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching of metallographic samples as per standard procedures.
- Conduct hardness testing using Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers methods.
- Coordinate and execute tensile, impact, and corrosion testing.
- Carry out laboratory-scale heat treatment trials and subsequent testing.
- Operate XRF analyzers for positive material identification.
- Maintain proper records of testing, calibration, and inspection activities.
- Ensure proper retention and traceability of samples as per procedures.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and compliance protocols in laboratory and forging operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy.
- Experience: 1–3 years in a Steel Mill / Open Die Forging industry.
- Hands-on experience in metallography sample preparation, including etchant selection and preparation.
- Proficiency in Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers hardness testing.
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes with experience in lab-scale HT trials.
- Experience in operating XRF analyzers for PMI (Positive Material Identification).
Skills Required

- Identify and target new business opportunities in domestic markets
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and potential segments
- Generate qualified leads and convert them into long-term clients
- Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective customers
- Collaborate with the marketing team for outreach campaigns and exhibitions Customer Service & Account Management:
