ONLINE applications are invited from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Scientist’B’ in National Technical Research Organization (NTRO), a premier organization under the Government of India. Candidates applying should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions as per detailed advertisement. NTRO Scientist ‘B’ Recruitment 2024

The detailed description of the post, number of vacancies, eligibility criteria and other relevant details are as follows: –

POST DETAILS:-

Name of the Post- Scientist’B’
Classification- General Central Civil Service, Group ‘A’ (Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
Pay Scale- as per Vll CPC- Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (Rs.56,100 -1,77,500)

Note: On initial appointment, the following pay and allowances are admissible:

Basic Pay – Rs.56,’1001
Special Security Allowance (20% of basic pay)
Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance(HRA), Transport Allowance, Government contribution towards NPS, as admissible under the Central Government rules.

In addition to above, following facilities/ allowances are also admissible: –

Annual Increment
Medical facilities for self and dependent family members (CGHS/ AMA)
LTC facilities (for self and dependent family members)
Children Education Allowance
Government Accommodation (as per entitlement, in lieu of HRA) – subject to availability etc.

Career Prospects: Scientific Cadre Officers of this Organization are presently covered under the ‘Revised Flexible Complementing Scheme’ as applicable to various Scientific Organizations as per guidelines issued by the Government of India.
Service Conditions: The candidates appointed as Scientist’B’ are liable to serve throughout the territory of India including field service and service on sea platform, in respect of such work as may be approved by the organization in the public interest, They will be on probation for a period of 2 years.

Essential Qualification (Discipline):- First class Master/s degree of Science in Electronics / Electronics & Computer Science/ Applied Electronics/ Radio Physics & Electronics from a recognized University or Institute;
OR
First class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Electronics Communication & instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Power/
Telecommunication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ information & Communication/ Communication Optics & Optoelectronics/ Electrical or any other First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology dealing with networks or information security technologies from a recognized University or Institute

Subject/Field:- Computer Science
Number of vacancies:- 30
Essential Qualification (Discipline):- First class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science / Computer / Computer Science & Information
Technology / Information Engineering/ Information Technology or any other First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology dealing with information or data science
technologies from a recognized University or institute.

Subject/Field:- Geo informatics and Remote Sensing
Number of vacancies:- 5
Essential Qualification (Discipline):- First class Master’s degree of Science in Geo-informatics/ Remote Sensing & Geo-informatics from a recognized University or Institute;
OR
First class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Geo Informatics/ Geo-informatics & Remote Sensing/ Civil Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering or any other relevant First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology which mentions Geo-informatics and/ or Remote Sensing as one of the main subjects from a recognized University or Institute,

Subject/Field:- Mathematics
Number of vacancies:- 5
Essential Qualification (Discipline):- First Class Master’s degree of Science in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Mathematics & Computing/ Mathematical Sciences
or any other relevant first class Master’s degree of Science which mentions Mathematics as the major discipline from a recognized University or Institute;
OR
First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Mathematics and Computing from a recognized University or institute

AGE LIMIT:-

Not exceeding 30 years as on the crucial date of eligibility. Relaxation as per the rule of Govt. of India.

FEE DETAILS:-

Candidates (except SC/ST/PwBD/Female candidates) are required to pay fee of Rs,250f (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty only) along with the submission of online application form through online payment mode via applications software only.

HOW TO APPLY:-

The applicants are requested to go through the complete advertisement carefully and satisfy themselves about their eligibility as per laid down criteria which includes possession of VALID GATE scorecard (i.e. GATE- 2022 or 2023 or 2024 only) in the corresponding GATE paper, before filling up the application form ONLINE.

A candidate can apply only ONE subject/field, i.e., either’ Electronics & Communications’ or’ Computer Science’ or’ Geo-informatics and Remote Sensing’ or’ Mathematics’.
The applicant can view the Application details from the View/Print Application menu option available in their login, The applicant is required to make sure that his/her ONLINE application form is submitted successfully otherwise his/her application form will be treated as incomplete and summarily be rejected.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:-

Written Examination (CBT Based)	Name of the Post- Scientist’B’ No of Questions- ‘100 Questions Maximum Marks- 200 (2 marks for each question) Duration- Two hours (120 Minutes)
Interview	Maximum Marks : 50 Marks
