Eligibility & Selection Process
Educational Qualification of WBPDCL Recruitment :
Varies by post:
- Engineering (BE/BTech/Integrated/Equivalent, Diploma) in relevant disciplines for manager/engineer roles
- ITI/NCVT for Operator Technician
- B.Sc./M.Sc. for Chemist
- Degree + Diploma for Librarian
- Graduation with Computer Course for Office Executive
- For teachers, graduate/honors/master’s as per subject + B.Ed. (for Physical Education: B.P.Ed.)
Age Limit & Relaxation:
- General: Maximum 32 years (as on 01.09.2025)
- Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PWBD (10 years) up to 45 years max considering all relaxations; further relaxations for Ex-Servicemen, WBPDCL contractor staff, and other eligible groups.
Experience :
Mostly for Safety Officer and select posts:
- 2-5 years relevant experience required for Safety Officer

Exam Pattern & Syllabus For WBPDCL:
Assistant Manager/Safety Officer/Other Key Roles:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) + Personal Interview
- Weightage: CBT (70%), Interview (30%)
- CBT Topics: General Aptitude (English, Quant, Reasoning, Data Interpretation), Technical (70 marks), Bengali/Nepali language (10 marks).
Office Executive:
- CBT, Computer Proficiency Test, and Interview
- Weightage: CBT (60%), Computer Proficiency (30%), Interview (10%)
Assistant Teacher:
- CBT, Class Demonstration, Interview
- CBT (60%), Class Demo (20%), Interview (20%)
Duration: 120 minutes for CBT (100 questions)

- Draughtsman/Operator Technician: from ₹23,400 (Level 3)
- Office Executive: ₹29,000 – ₹84,500 (Level 4)
- Teachers/Librarians: as per Level 8/9 (Honors/PG)
