Eligibility & Selection Process
Educational Qualification :
- JE: Three Years Diploma in Engineering or BE/BTech in relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, etc.)
- DMS: Three Years Diploma in any Engineering discipline
- CMA: B.Sc. with Chemistry/Physics or equivalent qualification
Age Limit & Relaxation:
- Age as on 01-01-2026: 18 to 33 years
Upper Age Relaxation: - SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Railway Staff, Female (widowed/divorced), EWS and other eligible as per notification (detailed in notification)
Experience :
No prior experience required; only qualification as per notification
Exam Pattern & Syllabus:
First Stage CBT: 100 Questions, 90 Minutes
- Mathematics: 30 questions
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 25 questions
- General Awareness: 15 questions
- General Science: 30 questions
- Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Syllabus covers: Diploma/degree level subjects, general science up to CBSE Class 10, reasoning, mathematics, current affairs
Second Stage CBT: 150 Questions, 120 Minutes- General Awareness : 15 questions
- Physics & Chemistry: 15 questions
- Basics of Computers and Applications : 10 questions
- Basics of Environment and Pollution Control : 10 questions
- Technical Abilities : 100 mark deducted for each wrong answer
Application Process
- 📝 Application Mode: Online application only through official RRB websites; no offline mode
- 🏦 Application Fee:
General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after appearing for CBT)
SC/ST/ExSM/PwBD/Female/Minorities/Economically Backward: ₹250 (fully refunded after appearing for CBT)
Salary & Benefits
- 💰 Pay Scale: Level 6 (7th CPC Pay Matrix): Initial pay ₹35,400/- plus allowances
