The NH 44 is the longest National Highway In India. National Highway 44 (NH 44) was previously known as National Highway 7. NH 44 is 3,745 km long and covers the North-South Corridor of NHDP. It starts from Srinagar in the north and ends in Kanyakumari in the south. The NH 44 highway has come into being by merging seven major national highways of old numbers that include NH 1A, NH 1, NH 2, NH 3, NH 75, NH 26 and NH 7.
